MUTH'S TRUTHS 06/27/2017

Wow, what a day yesterday for the Make America Great Again movement…

First, after months of “na-na-boo-booing” by the radical left and purveyors of fake news, the United States Supreme Court reversed decisions by a couple of liberal judges and reinstated President Donald Trump’s travel ban executive order.  The decision was 9-0.

The phrase “he who laughs last” comes to mind.

In another case, the Supreme Court ruled it was NOT a violation of the “separation of church and state” doctrine to use taxpayer dollars to subsidize the construction of a playground using recycled tires at a church-owned pre-school playground.

YUGE victory for religious liberty that will likely help advance the school voucher issue down the road.

The Court also decided to weigh in next year on a Colorado case in involving a Denver baker who refused to bake a cake for a gay wedding.  This *should* be a no-brainer.  How in the heck does the government have the power for force someone to bake a cake against their will?

Meanwhile, over at the Fake News Network…

CNN has been forced to admit one of its many “Russia collusion” stories this week was false, had to retract it, had to issue an apology to one of the targeted individuals involved, and fired – OK, they were allowed to “resign” – three of the fake news peddlers behind the fake news story.

In an unrelated story, CNN fake news White House correspondent Jim Acostawas put in “time out” yesterday by White House Press Secretary Sean Spicerafter the terminally obnoxious Acosta rudely interrupted Spicer’s press briefing numerous times, whining that cameras weren’t allowed to film his performances.

After the briefing, Acosta went on air and complained that “Sean Spicer has refused to take questions from CNN for weeks now,” adding that he’s “largely been just blackballed during these briefings.”

Waaaahhhhhh!!!!  Somebody get this crybaby goofball a pacifier.

Cheers.

P.S.  This Just In: There are NO CUTS to Medicaid in the Senate proposal to repeal-and-replace ObamaCare.  As former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer points out, current Medicaid spending is $389 billion.  “Under GOP reforms, it will increase to about $500 billion in 2027.”

So why is Nevada Sen. Dean Heller opposing this desperately needed bill again?

THE ENTREPRENEUR PRESIDENT

“To me it’s very simple: if you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.  Most people think small, because most people are afraid of success, afraid of making decisions, afraid of winning.” – Donald Trump, “Art of the Deal” (1987)

NEVADA NEWS & VIEWS

Queen Victoria of Kingdom Hubris Goes Office Shopping

This is actually a little sad.

Former tax-hiking GOP Assemblywoman Victoria Seaman (nine tax hikes in one session) is “shopping” for an office to run for next year in pretty much the same way she’d go shopping for shoes at the mall.

She quit her assembly seat in 2016 after one short, accomplishment-free legislative session in which she is probably best remembered for this, as reported by the Nevada Appeal

“Assembly Judiciary Chairman Ira Hansen, R-Sparks, on Saturdayfired back at Victoria Seaman, the Republican freshman who accused him of threatening her because she complained he refused to hold a vote on one of her bills.

“He issued a statement Saturday saying Seaman has been disruptive, pouting and throwing tantrums and mistreating both fellow committee members and witnesses.

“He said both in Assembly caucus and in meetings with fellow Republicans on the committee she ‘speaks out of turn, repeatedly and loudly blurting entirely rude and inappropriate comments, talking on her cellphone during the meeting, acting put upon when asked to take such calls outside, belittling those with different views, moaning and huffing and puffing when others state opinions different than her own, slamming books, etc. on the conference table.’

“He said on three occasions, Seaman ‘stomped out of meetings when not getting her way.”

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“I think the Democrats' irresponsibility is totally unbounded. This notion that the Republicans want to kill people, it's really, it's almost pathetic that the Democratic Party has no new ideas, no new solutions, takes no responsibility for the disaster that they passed with Obamacare." – Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich on the lies Democrats are spreading about people dying if ObamaCare is repealed
