YOU CAN BLAME LIBERAL DEMOCRATS FOR DETROIT! CHICAGO TOO!!!

DETROIT

By Frosty Wooldridge
For 15 years, from the mid 1970's to 1990, I worked in Detroit , Michigan . I watched it descend into the abyss of crime, debauchery, gunplay, drugs, school truancy, car-jacking, gangs and human depravity. I watched entire city blocks burned out. I watched graffiti explode on buildings, cars, trucks, buses and school yards. Trash everywhere!
Detroiters walked through it, tossed more into it, and ignored it. Tens of thousands, and then hundreds of thousands today exist on federal welfare, free housing, and food stamps!

With Aid to Dependent Children, minority women birthed eight to 10, and in one case, one woman birthed 24 children as reported by the Detroit Free Press, all on American taxpayer dollars.

A new child meant a new car payment, new TV, and whatever mom wanted. I saw Lyndon Baines Johnson's 'Great Society' flourish in Detroit . If you give money for doing nothing, you will get more hands out taking money for doing nothing.

Obamacare’s Pro-Abortion HHS Mandate Marks One Year Anniversaryd
The pro-abortion mandate that is a part of Obamacare marks its one-year anniversary today — forcing religious groups to pay for birth control and drugs that may cause abortions. Enforcement of the mandate is expected to begin in January.
The mandate went into effect last year on August 1 and the very minimal religious protections were set to go into effect today, but they will be implemented and enforcement will take place starting on January 1. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/08/01/obamacares-pro-abortion-hhs-mandate-goes-into-effect-today/
42nd Abortion Clinic Closed This Year Due to Filthy, Unsafe Conditions
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services announced Wednesday that it has suspended the license of Femcare, an abortion clinic in Asheville, for two dozen serious health and safety violations discovered during a routine inspection on July 18 and 19th.
This action comes just two days after Gov. Pat McCrory signed a law that will require abortion clinics to meet the standards of an outpatient surgery center. Ironically, it was thought that Femcare would be the only North Carolina abortion clinic to meet safety standards under the new law, but it seems it that thinking was grossly in error. Femcare was last inspected 6½ years ago. The closure is not directly related to the new law. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/08/01/42nd-abortion-clinic-closed-this-year-due-to-filthy-unsafe-conditions/
Texas Officials Subpoena Tweets of Abortion Activists Wanting Perry Killed
During the debate about the 20-week late-term abortion ban in Texas, members of the pro-abortion mob made death threats on a number of officials.

Now, Texas law enforcement officials are looking into tweets that called for the killing of pro-life elected officials, such as Governor Rick Perry.http://www.lifenews.com/2013/07/31/congresswomans-miracle-baby-may-be-the-first-to-survive-potters-syndrom/

WES VERNON, RA ANALYST — History may record the second decade of the 21st century as the era in which "the lying (at long last) had to stop." Any one of several factors may serve as "the turning point": another outsized 9/11 - - perhaps at three or four times the body count (and the extent of overall destruction); multiple "leaders" feel confident enough to drop their masks and reveal their true intentions; or speech police may add a sharper-edged enforcement to the public opprobrium of violators of "political correctness."... FRED HUTCHISON, RA ANALYST — My last essay was A Brief History of Conservatism, Part 1, 800 B.C. to 1300 A.D. During that journey of 2,100 years, we learned how four streams of Conservatism contributed to Western culture. This essay picks up the story in the year 1300 A.D. We shall go on a journey through the proto-Renaissance of literature (1300-1375), the Italian Renaissance (1375-1520), and the Northern Renaissance (1520-1600). Our story of this era begins with Dante and ends with Shakespeare... (more)

ROBERT KNIGHT — The federal government is growing like kudzu. That's the Japanese ivy plant that is taking over roadsides all over the south and is even invading the north. Kudzu does some good, holding the ground and so on, but the price is steep: It kills the other plants, trees and bushes by smothering them. Senate Commits High Treason: “Classifies” votes to hide funding for Syrian Rebels

Posted: August 1, 2013
Here’s a riddle: How do you make it easier to push through legislation in Congress that is overwhelmingly opposed in the public without any political consequences?

John Glaser, July 31, 2013

SecrecyAnswer: Keep the votes secret.
That’s exactly what’s happened to an Obama administration plan to provide weapons directly to the Syrian rebels. The Senate committee that approved the plan was, unusually, allowed to classify their votes, presumably in order to insulate themselves from any repercussions from their constituents. Because really…why should elected representatives have to tell the people they supposedly represent how they are doing the job they were elected to do!?
McClatchy:
The Senate Select Committee on Intelligence reportedly gave its approval last week to an Obama administration plan to provide weapons to moderate rebels in Syria, but how individual members of the committee stood on the subject remains unknown.

LOWDEN EXPLORING LT. GUV RACE

Here’s the full press release announcing our friend Sue Lowden possibly becoming a major fly in the anointment effort of Mark Hutchison for lieutenant governor…

Former Nevada State Sen. Sue Lowden announced today that she will be filing paperwork this week with the Secretary of State to create an official campaign committee LLC as she considers running for the office of lieutenant governor in 2014.

“My experience both as an elected legislator and a private businesswoman means Nevadans would get someone who understands how government policies often hurt businesses and discourages job creation, as well as how to work within the legislative process in order to make necessary changes,” Lowden said.

“Truthfully, I wouldn’t need much on-the-job training because I’ve already been on the job for many years.”

Lowden commended incumbent Lt. Gov. Brian Krolicki, who will be term-limited out of office next year, and added that she expects to continue pursuing many of the projects initiated under his leadership.
