OBAMA - HE WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET REELECTED AND TO HELL WITH AMERICA!

Submitted by: Donald Hank
Obama just stepped into it.  With his campaign desperately needing to pander to try and pick up Hispanic votes, he gave amnesty to illegals who were brought to this country as children and who are under thirty.  But the problems are just starting.
From the Washington Post:
President Obama has just opened a floodgate of opportunity for young illegal immigrants in the United States, but could it squeeze the aspirations of legal Americans in the process?
Across the nation Friday, immigrant advocates and Hispanic youth groups hailed Obama’s decision to offer legal status to some undocumented immigrants under 30 as a watershed in U.S. immigration history and a long-sought victory for ambitious youths denied a chance to realize the American dream.

MARRIAGE LICENSES

I just found out from a list member that marriage licenses were not required in the US until after the Civil War!
Does that mean great-great granddaddy was illegitimate?
I doubt it.
Maybe it is time to rethink the role of the State in marriage.
I know men who were fleeced out of their entire life savings by "family" court decisions after a very brief marriage. Could it be that "family" court and marriage laws have been co-opted by cultural Marxists in their fanatical zeal for "culture change"?

History
For most of Western history, marriage was a private contract between two families. Until the 16th-century, Christian churches accepted the validity of a marriage on the basis of a couple’s declarations. If two people claimed that they had exchanged marital vows—even without witnesses—the Catholic Church accepted that they were validly married.

"We should insist that if the immigrant who comes here does in good faith become an American and assimilates himself to us he shall be treated on an exact equality with every one else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed or birth-place or origin.   But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American and nothing but an American.   If he tries to keep segregated with men of his own origin and separated from the rest of America, then he isn't doing his part as an American.  There can be no divided allegiance here. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language, for we intend to see that the crucible turns our people out as Americans, of American nationality, and not as dwellers in a polyglot boarding-house; and we have room for but one soul loyalty, and that is loyalty to the American people."     President Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Colorado Governor Richard Lamm is purported to have given a speech on eight ways to destroy America.  Whether he gave the speech or not, the eight ways he delineated are still valid:

THE FRENCH DO NOT WANT TO WORK - THEY WANT SOCIALISM!

Deepening splits between Angela Merkel and François Hollande erupted into the open on Friday as the German chancellor attacked Paris for allowing the French economy to stall.

Mrs Merkel warned the policies of the new Socialist president could destroy the eurozone by bringing the sovereign debt crisis to France itself.
The bleak assessment came on the eve of an important weekend that will see elections in Greece and France and a key G20 meeting of world leaders in Mexico.
"Europe must discuss the growing differences in economic strength between France and Germany," she said.
Tensions are running so high that Jean-Marc Ayrault, the French prime minister, was forced to deny that Paris had broken off the Franco-German partnership, following Berlin anger at a Franco-Italian summit in Rome on Thursday.
